The purpose of this course is to provide the learner with information describing the role of assessments in helping an individual determine needs and wants and defining the role of the learner in the assessment process.
Course Objective
• Explain why assessments are important and how data is collected. 
• Identify the purpose of formal and informal assessments. 
• Demonstrate knowledge of positive behavioral supports and the basic principles of behavior. 
• Demonstrate knowledge of how the information from assessments benefits the individual. 
• Write goals and objectives based on an assessment.
