The purpose of this module is to present a new view for understanding how psychopathology develops during adolescence, and how therapeutic interventions can be directed.
Course Objective
This program provides clinicians with the opportunity to learn about:
• The main developmental task of adolescence is establishing identity
• Self-esteem is different in genders
• Ego-oriented maturational model
• Adolescence assessment process

H. SPENCER BLOCH, MD Dr. H. Spencer Bloch has spent the last 25 years of his career practicing psychoanalysis and psychiatry in San Rafael, California, and consulting with therapists and with staffs of non-profit treatment agencies and special education schools. He is certified in the psychoanalysis of children, adolescents, and adults and is board certified in general psychiatry and in child and adolescent psychiatry.
