Author Bio
RICHARD LOEWENSTEIN, M.D. Richard Loewenstein, M.D. is Senior Psychiatrist and Director of the Dissociative Disorders Program at Sheppard Pratt Hospital and Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.  He was the first President of the International Society for the Study of Multiple Personality and Dissociation.  Dr. Loewenstein has been a special consultant and grant reviewer for NIMH since 1980.  He has published and presented widely and is the recipient of many honors, including being listed as one of America’s Best Doctors.
