Author Bio
RICHARD SCHWARTZ, Ph.D. Richard Schwartz. Ph.D. is the Coordinator of Training and Research in the Family Systems Program the University of Illinois’ Institute for Juvenile Research in Chicago.  He received his Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Purdue University.  Dr Schwartz has published widely, both as Contributing Editor of The Family Therapy Networker, as Co-Author of Family Therapy: Concepts and Methods, as Co-Editor of The Handbook of Family Therapy Training and Supervision, and as co-author of Metaframeworks for Psychotherapy.  His most recent book deals with the Internal Family Systems Model.  In a national survey of psychotherapists conducted by Town and Country magazine, Dr. Schwartz was named as one of the 14 most highly regarded therapists in the Chicago area.
