Course Objective
This program provides clinicians with the opportunity to learn about:
• Effective PTSD treatments are cognitive and exposure-based therapies that focus on emotional processing of the trauma material
• Cognitive Behavior programs (CBT) are currently the most empirically supported treatments
• Cognitive and behaviors features that distinguish people with PTSD
• Cognitive behavioral work and how you make a case formulation

Author Bio
STEVEN TAYLOR, Ph.D. Steven Taylor, Ph.D. is a Clinical Psychologist and Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of British Columbia, Canada, and co-leader of the CIHR funded New Emerging Team called The Traumatic Stress Group. For ten years he was Associate Editor of Behavior Research and now is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Cognitive Psychotherapy.
Dr. Taylor has published over 200 journal articles and book chapters. He has also published over a dozen books, including Advances in the Treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorders; Clinician’s Guide to PTSD: A Cognitive Behavioral Approach; and It’s Not All in Your Head: How Worrying About Your Health Could Be Making You Sick—and What You Can Do About It.
