The purpose of this module is to present how to create alliances with angry and disillusioned adolescents that allow and encourage them to implement affirmative change themselves.
Course Objective
This program provides clinicians with the opportunity to learn about:

• How to create alliances with angry and disillusioned adolescents
• How to get young people to be interested in their own process.

Author Bio
MARK MASI, Psy.D. Dr. Mark Masi received his doctorate in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology where he is an adjunct clinical faculty member. In addition to his private practice he is a consulting psychologist at a multi-specialty medical practice and a staff affiliate at Columbia Woodland Hospital in suburban Chicago. His previous clinical work includes positions as director of psychology training at a community mental health center and clinical director at an outpatient substance abuse program. An accomplished public speaker in his field, Dr. Masi lectures both nationally and locally on topics in the areas of adolescent and adult assessment and treatment, substance abuse, and eating disorders.
