The purpose of this module is to present a panel discussion on grief and loss.
Course Objective
This program provides clinicians with the opportunity to learn about:
Constructivist examination of grief
Constructivist versus family systems orientation
Spirituality as a major contributor to resilience
The concept of resolution
Intended Audience
Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Addiction Therapists 
Author Bio
Robert Neimeyer, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychology at the University of Memphis, where he also maintains an active clinical practice.  He has published 14 books, including Death Anxiety Handbook, Personal Meanings of Death; Dying: Facing the Facts; and Lessons of Loss: A Guide to Coping.  Dr. Neimeyer is the editor of the respected international journal, Death Studies and is President of the Association for Death Education and Counseling.  In recognition of his contributions, he has been granted the Distinguished Research Award by the University of Memphis, has been designated Distinguished Psychologist of the Year by the Tennessee Psychological Association, and has been made a Fellow of Division 12 (Clinical Psychology) of the American Psychological Association.  

Froma Walsh, MSW, Ph.D. is a professor in the School of Social Service Administration and the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Chicago.  She is also a co-director of the University-affiliated family therapy training institute, the Chicago Center for Family Health.  She is the Editor of the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy, past president of the American Family Therapy Academy (AFTA), recipient of AFTA’s Award for Distinguished Contribution to Family Therapy Theory and Practice. And an AAMFT Approved Supervisor.  She is author of Strengthening Resilience and editor or coeditor of Normal Family Process, Living Beyond Loss, and Women in Families.  Her most recent book is Spiritual Resources in Family Therapy.
